Banging the top of an open stapler to attach a piece of paper or decorative border to a wall was symbolic, stressful, and oddly satisfying.
Back in March of 2020, we all had to learn to navigate the unknown. It was extreme, but since then, I definitely learned that the “I don’t yet” moments in life are completely acceptable and they also have healing properties.
Our final family summer hurrah was nonstop fun and excitement. We drove to Anaheim instead of flying in hopes to avoid delays and getting sick. We hit the parks for 3 days, rising early each morning and returning to the hotel for late bedtime. We ate fun vacation food and I partook in vacation cocktails.
